Anime Zero Defend Mode

Defend is Anime Zero's wave-defense mode. Instead of clearing a staged path, you hold a position against incoming waves, which shifts the meta from single-target damage to area damage and wave control.

AoE skills and wide swings outvalue single-target burst here. Community guidance: build Defend loadouts around your weapon's cleave skills, and keep a single-target swap on the T slot for elite waves that need focused damage.

Best entered after Story feels comfortable — the waves assume a loadout with at least a Mythic-tier weapon or a well-built lower-rarity one. Pair Defend farming with accessory goals, since sustained waves are good stat-check content.
