⚠️ The #1 beginner trap
The 10-Step Route
- 1
Redeem every code before anything else
Codes are the only free bulk source of Coins, Gems, Rolls, Lucky Spins and Trait Rerolls. The 25 active codes include several hundred free pulls combined — redeeming them first turns your whole first week into funded progression.
- 2
Learn the combat kit in the lobby or first Story stage
Your kit is M1 basic attacks, three skills, a dodge and a block (perfect block reflects timing). Ultimates unlock later through Evolution. Read the controls page for the full keybind list, including the T weapon swap.
- 3
Farm Story mode first
Story is the tutorial-friendly mode and your main early income. Defend and Infinite exist, but community consensus is to clear Story comfortably before branching — enemy density there matches what a fresh loadout can handle.
- 4
Buy the second weapon slot at 25,000 Coins
Your first big Coin sink. Two equipped weapons with a mid-dungeon T-swap meaningfully raises sustained damage, and it is cheaper to reach than any summon milestone.
- 5
Understand Rolls vs Lucky Spins before summoning
This is the single most common new-player mistake. Standard Rolls fill normal slots (Legendary/Mythic targets). Lucky Spins run the rarer pity track that chases the ultra-rare Zenless tier. Spending Lucky Spins on normal pulls wastes the scarcest currency in the game.
- 6
Aim your Rolls at Dragon Eclipse (~300 pity)
The Mythic Dragon Eclipse at roughly 300 Rolls to pity is the realistic mid-term target and an immediate power spike. Cataclysm (~3,000 Lucky Spins) is a long-term goal, not a first-week plan.
- 7
Reroll traits onto your main weapon
Use Trait Rerolls once you have a weapon worth keeping. The community trait ranking puts Deadeye at the top for pure damage (critical damage). Power/Swift/Focus scale in three levels each.
- 8
Spend skill-tree points on damage first
The first skill-tree node gives roughly +15% damage, and crit/attack nodes outvalue defensive ones early. Your defense comes from dodge and block execution, not from tree points.
- 9
Enchant order: Power, then Hunter/Bloodlust, then Supernova
Community priority for enchants is Power first, the Hunter/Bloodlust band second, Supernova later. Enchants stack with traits and titles, so a cheap enchant on a good weapon beats saving for a perfect setup.
- 10
Equip 4 accessories and use the AFK Chamber
Update 2 opened four accessory slots with hard caps at 60% Crit and 40% CDR — plan stacks toward the caps, not past them. The AFK Chamber generates passive rewards offline, so park your character there between sessions.
First-Week Checklist
- All 25 active codes redeemed
- Combat kit practiced: dodge, block, perfect block, T weapon swap
- Story mode clearing comfortably
- Second weapon slot unlocked (25,000 Coins)
- Rolls and Lucky Spins kept in separate budgets
- A summon target chosen (Dragon Eclipse recommended)
- First Trait Rerolls spent on a keeper weapon
- Skill-tree points in damage and crit nodes
- Four accessory slots filled, stacks below the 60% Crit / 40% CDR caps
- Character parked in the AFK Chamber when offline
Evidence & Confidence
This route is Community-verified as of Oct 7–9, 2026, built from getting-started coverage, pity documentation and update notes across multiple sources. Pity numbers (~300 Rolls, ~3,000 Lucky Spins) are community-measured during Early Access and the developers may tune them. No official beginner guide exists.
